Prosumer =  consumer/ producer- audience producing music videos and advertisement

Audience: fans of alternative music 

Create relationship through website, twitter and face book for audience to contact them and levae comments

Production: made themselves. skills required in IT 

Distribution & Marketing: By creating their own music, they are distributing it to the audience through various means such as Itunes, and in putting it on a website, they are giving it Marketing "publicity" for more people to see.

Exchange: In putting their songs on itunes, they are receiving money in exchange for the audience to listen to the music. 

Visulisation: The videos used are created for the audience to engage more to the video

Youtube

The audience post their own videos to youtube which not only promotes the producers music but can also get the audiences talents recognized. This way, both producer and prosumer benefit.

Song Reader's website, allows the audience to engage with the producer by making covers of her songs, that are later added onto her main website, creating more publicity, which enables her to get her music more out in the open. The audience can also download the note sheets to follow. 

I-tunes 

Their music is also promoted and sold on i-tunes. This distributes and markets the producers music, and allows the audience to engage further with them, and also form a relationship with the audience. Moreover, it follows exchange, as the audience gives the artist money to continue their music, and allows the artist, to receive something in return.

Book 

The producer also sells the music sheets in various stores including Waterstones and Amazon, and broadens  their publicity to the general public. moreover, it gives them a chance to make money and works as an exchange for them. 

Comparison 

Websites, such as the producers own website and youtube promote the music, and can be used to collect feedback and exchange. Exchange can also be made through I-tunes, as the artist can get feedback as to how good their music is by how many singles they have sold. They can also distribute and market their songs for profit, unlike youtube and their own website. Sales of books will also promote their music and earn them money. In return, the prosumers can create their own version of their songs and post them to websites such as their own and youtube- further promoting the artists music. The prosumer may also gain recognition for their talents and being taken note of by the mass media and music proffessions. 

The producer doesn't have their own youtube account but prosumers do. This prosumer known as Max Miller has dedicated his account to making his own versions of Song readers music. The number of subscribers can let the producer know how popular their own and the prosumers music is. 

On youtube, the audience can like and dislike the video. This gives the artist feedback as what has and hasn't worked well. Comments left on the videos allows the artist to understand exactly what is good and bad about their music and video and how to improve. 

The producer, is also well noted by the music centered  article "the current presents" who greatly acknowledges the producers presence since 1994, and has presented them in a positive light. But the article, also criticizes the producer for not having produced any music to go with it, therefore the producer has received feedback for what to do, and not to. 

Conclusion 

When the audience become more involved with the artist, they begin to make their own versions and promote their own talents and the music. These are broadcasted on sights such as  a youtube, Icloud and itunes, and allows the producer to give their lyrics in exchange for others to publicly use them to their own music, further broadening their talent. Therefore the producer gets free advertisement.

This allows music to be increased in its worth, as it allows various audiences, of different tastes and genres to experiment, their own views on how they perceive a song should sound, and gives them the chance to be noticed more, along with the song writer, through their lyrics.
